Notice of Meetings With CTA Customers

June 3, 2013

CTA management will conduct meetings with transit customers for the purpose of informing our customers of the status of projects we are undertaking to improve the bus service and to obtain feedback from our customers about the services we are providing.    We invite all CTA transit customers to attend the meetings. The meetings will be held at the following times and places:

Tuesday June 11, 2013:  6PM – 7:30PM at the Biloxi Transit Center 

 Thursday June 13, 2013: 6PM – 7:30PM at the Gulfport Transit Center

We value your opinion and hope that you will attend one of the meetings so we can hear from you how we may improve our services.

 Friday, 08 February

Ocean Springs

Ocean Springs Carnival Association 7:00 P.M. Downtown Ocean Springs will be inaccessible after 6:30 P.M.

When leaving Winn Dixie west bound at 6:27 PM, the Ocean Springs bus will bypass Government Street and Washington Avenue remaining on Highway 90.  The regular route will resume at Washington Ave and Highway 90.

 When departing Biloxi Transit Center at 7:00 PM, the bus will bypass Government St and Washington Ave remaining on Highway 90.  The normal route will resume at Big Lots.

 When leaving Winn Dixie west bound at 7:57 PM, the Ocean Springs bus will bypass Government St and Washington Ave remaining on Highway 90.  The regular route will resume at Washington Ave and Highway 90.

 Saturday, 09 February

Gulfport

Krewe of Gemini Day Parade 2:00 PM   The Gulfport Transit Center will be inaccessible between the hours of 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM.  Buses will use the Alternate transfer point in the parking lot at 23^rd Ave and 22^nd St for passenger transfers for all routes except the Beachcomber which will use the Jones Park Comfort Station as the alternate transfer point.  A van shuttle will be provided to move passengers between the alternate transfer points as needed.

 Sunday, 10 February

D’Iberville

North Bay Area Mardi Gras Association 1:30 PM:  The D’Iberville Bus will be unable to service the entire D’Iberville route except for the Wal-Mart and Promenade areas between the hours of 12:15 PM and 3:15 PM.  During this time the bus will remain on the I-110 and service only Wal-Mart and The Promenade.

 Monday, 11 February

Biloxi

Biloxi’s Children’s Walking Parage 11:00 AM

When leaving the Biloxi Transit Center on the RED ROUTE at 10:45 AM, the Back Bay (Route 31x) bus will be unable to service Lameuse St.  The bus will continue on Esters Blvd., turn right on Main St., proceed to Howard Ave., turn left on Howard Ave., and resume the normal route.  Normal service will resume after that for both the RED and BLUE lines.

 All Fixed Routes  will operate on a Sunday time schedule on February 12, 2013.

Tuesday, 12 February – Mardi Gras Day

Biloxi

Gulf Coast Carnival Association:  1:00 PM

Krewe of Neptune 3:00PM

The Biloxi Transit Center will be inaccessible between the hours of 12:15 PM and 5:00 PM.  During the time the alternate transfer point will be on Bayview Ave., under the I-110 overpass west of the IP Casino.  All passenger transfers will occur there.

 Tuesday, 12 February – Mardi Gras Day

Gulfport

Krewe of Gemini Night Parade 5:30 PM

Gulfport Transit Center will be inaccessible between 4:45 PM and 6:15 PM (end of service).  Pass Road (Route 34xx) buses will use the alternate transfer point in the parking lot at 23^rd Ave and 22^nd St. for passenger loading and unloading and transfers to the Beachcomber which will use the Jones Park Comfort Station as the alternate transfer point.  A van shuttle will be provided to move passengers between the alternate transfer points as needed.

Route 7 Ocean Springs – Thursday, Friday and Saturday, October 11, 12 and 13 2012, between the hours of 8:00am – 6:00pm we will not be able to service Washington Ave. and Government St. Passengers can be picked up and or dropped off on Hwy. 90 between Washington Ave. and Holcomb Blvd.

Route 34 Pass Road – On Tuesday October 9, 2012 between the hours of 9:00am – 3:00pm we will not be able to enter the Biloxi VA. All passengers needing to go to the VA can be dropped off on Pass Road at the front gate.

 All routes connecting at the Biloxi Transit Center -On Wednesday, October 10 2012, we will not be able to make transfers at the Biloxi Transit Center between the hours of 7:00am – 3:00pm due to Cruisin’ the Coast activities. Route transfers will take place on Howard Ave, under the I-110 overpass.

Effective at 12:30 p.m. today CTA resumed operating fixed route bus service on an irregular time schedule on the following routes:
RT4 D’Iberville
Rt7 Ocean Spring – with deviations
RT31 Biloxi
RT34 Pass Road serving Biloxi and Gulfport
RT37 Hwy 49 Gulfport
RT38 West Gulfport

The Biloxi Transit Center and Gulfport Transit Center are both open to accommodate route to route transfers.

All other fixed routes will be restored as road conditions allow.

Due to the affects of Hurricane Isaac CTA will not operate ADA, ADA Plus, Harrison County senior citizen or Hancock County senior citizen transportation services on Thursday, August 30.

Effective at 11:00 a.m. today CTA will restore fixed route bus service on an irregular time schedule on the following routes:
RT4 D’Iberville
Rt7 Ocean Spring – with deviations
RT34 Pass Road serving Biloxi and Gulfport
RT37 Hwy 49 Gulfport – with deviations

The Biloxi Transit Center and Gulfport Transit Centers are both open to accommodate route to route transfers.
