Paratransit Service
Paratransit services will continue to operate in order to meet the needs of the community. Life sustaining reservations will take priority at this time, followed by nutrition. Paratransit riders can call the Paratransit reservation line at (228) 896-8080 ex. 210.
Preventative Methods
CTA has taken additional steps to protect the health and safety of customers and employees as public health officials monitor the situation. Although the risk for Coronavirus (COVID-19) remains low in Mississippi, we are taking steps to protect the health and safety of our customers and our employees by expanding disinfecting and sanitation measures.
Precautionary measures CTA has taken to prevent spread of COVID-19 include:
• Sanitizer dispensers installed at the transit facilities and on-board buses
• Sanitizing the transit facilities including door handles, ticket vending machines, atm machines, and other surfaces
• Sanitizing the buses daily in addition to the normal daily cleaning
• Communicating with experts about preparedness and monitoring the spread of the virus
CTA will continue to monitor Coronavirus developments and take appropriate action in consultation with public health authorities.
CTA remains in contact with local and state public health organizations (CDC and FTA) in regards to COVID-19 updates and appropriate responses.
