Subject: CTA Hurricane Ida – Update 1 Shelter Transportation

Severe weather impacts from Hurricane Ida are expected to be experienced on the MS Gulf Coast beginning Sunday morning.

The Harrison County Emergency Management Agency has directed that shelters in Harrison County will open beginning at 3 PM today.

CTA will be providing transportation to local FEMA P-361 designated shelters between 3 PM – 7 PM today. You can call CTA effective immediately to schedule your evacuation trip. Call CTA directly at 228-896-8080 to schedule a trip and receive instructions.

CTA does not provide trips for special needs people. Requests for special needs sheltering should be directed to the Harrison County EMA at 228-865-4002.

CTA will transport to the following FEMA P-361 shelters beginning at 3 PM:
County Farm Road (pet shelter)
LoBouy Rd.
Saucier Lizana Rd.

When your bus arrives at your designated time, please board for your trip immediately.

CTA has a dedicated and experienced staff that is prepared to provide Hurricane Evacuation Transportation for Harrison County, to move residents out of harm’s way.

We encourage you to make your evacuation trip as early in the day as possible so that we can ensure that we assist everyone that needs to shelter.
