2021 Cruisin’ the Coast CTA Route Changes

Subject: 2021 “Cruisin’ the Coast” Fixed Route Bus Schedule 

Due to excessive traffic along Hwy 90 and Pass Road during the “Cruisin’ the Coast” events, October 3-10, 2021, major delays are expected on some of the CTA routes. CTA will do everything possible to run as close to our regular scheduled times listed in our route guide. The following routes and schedules have been altered to provide continued services during this weeklong event. 

Route Cancelations

  • Thursday, October 7, BEACHCOMBER ROUTE will end at 5:30 pm at Edgewater Mall.
  • Friday & Saturday, October 8 & 9 BEACHCOMBER ROUTE will end at 12:35 pm at Edgewater Mall.

Route Detours

Sunday, October 3

  • All Day – RT 34 / Pass Road and RT 37/ Gulfport will have an alternate transfer point at 22nd Ave. and 22nd Street.

Wednesday, October 6 

  • Beachcomber will have NO service to Treasure Bay Bus Stop in Parking Lot 8:30 am-5:30 pm, pick-up/drop-off location on Hwy 90.

Thursday, October 7

  • Beachcomber will stop service at 5:30 pm and will have NO service on WB Route at Edgewater Village or to Treasure Bay Bus Stop in Parking Lot 8:30 am-5:30 pm (pick-up/drop-off location for Treasure Bay on Hwy 90).
  • D’Iberville Route 4 will have NO service along Automall Parkway 8:30 am-7:00 pm Ocean Springs Route 7 will have NO service on Washington Ave and Government Street west of MLK Blvd 8:30 am-7:00 pm.

Friday, October 8

  • Beachcomber will stop service at 12:35 pm and will have NO service on WB Route at Edgewater Village or to Treasure Bay Bus Stop in Parking Lot 8:30 am-12:35 pm (pick-up/drop-off location for Treasure Bay on Hwy 90) 
  • D’Iberville Route 4 will have NO service along Automall Parkway 8:30 am-7:00 pm.
  • Ocean Springs Route 7 will have NO service on Washington Ave. and Government Street west of MLK Blvd 8:30 am-7:00 pm.
  • Route 34/Pass Road will have no service on Eisenhower Dr or C.T. Switzer Ave to Edgewater Mall starting at 12:35 pm-9:00 pm, pick-up/drop-off location will be on Pass Rd.

Saturday, October 9

  • Beachcomber will stop service at 12:35 pm and will have NO service on WB Route at Edgewater Village or to Treasure Bay Bus Stop in Parking Lot 8:30 am-12:35 pm (pickup/drop off location for Treasure Bay on Hwy 90) 
  • D’Iberville Route 4 will have NO service along Automall Parkway from 8:30 am- until the end of the day.
  • Ocean Springs Route 7 will have NO service on Washington Ave and Government Street west of MLK Blvd 8:30 am-7:00 pm.
  • Route 34/Pass Road will have no service on Eisenhower Dr or C.T. Switzer Ave to Edgewater Mall starting at 12:35 pm-9:00 pm, pick-up/drop-off location will be on Pass Rd.

Please plan your travel accordingly or earlier in the day whenever possible.
