Subject: CTA Alternate Bus Routes & Transfer Points for 2022 Mardi Gras Parades

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 12
Ocean Springs – Due to the Ocean Springs Elks Club Carnival Parade and the Krewe Unique Parade on Saturday, February 12, an Alternate Bus Route will be used on Route 7 Ocean Springs. This alternate route will run from 12:05 pm -5:30 pm.
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 19
Biloxi – Due to the Biloxi Children’s Walking Parade in downtown Biloxi, Alternate Bus Routes will be used from 8 am until noon for Beachcomber, Casino Hopper, Route 7- Ocean Springs, and Route 34-Biloxi-Gulfport Pass Rd.
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 25
Ocean Springs – Due to the Ocean Springs Carnival Association Night Parade on Friday, February 25, an Alternate Bus Route will be used on Route 7 Ocean Springs. This alternate route will begin at 6:06 pm to the end of the route.
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 26
Gulfport – Due to Krewe of Gemini – Carnival Day Parade in downtown Gulfport, CTA will utilize an Alternate Transfer Point at 22nd Street & 22nd Avenue from 1:10 pm to 5:10 pm. CTA will provide a van to transfer passengers from Gulfport Transit Center to the Alternate Transfer Point.
Biloxi – Due to the Krewe of Neptune – Night Parade in downtown Biloxi, both Alternate Bus Routes and Alternate Transfer Points will be used beginning at 3:20 pm until the end of the route. CTA will provide transportation between alternate transfer points under the I-110 overpass on Howard Ave.
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 27
D’Iberville – Due to the D’Iberville Mardi Gras Parade on Sunday, February 27 an Alternate Bus Route will be used on Route 4 D’Iberville. This alternate route will be used from 12:15 pm to 3:15 pm. There will be no service to Auto Mall Pkwy., Rodriguez St., Lemoyne Blvd., and Big Ridge Rd. during this time.
Gulfport – Due to the Second Street Social Club Parade, Alternate Routes for all routes will be used from 10:15 am -3:15 pm.
TUESDAY, MARCH 1
CTA will run a Sunday schedule on Tuesday for the Mardi Gras Holiday.
Biloxi – Due to Biloxi’s Gulf Coast Carnival Association Mardi Gras Day Parade in the downtown area, an Alternate Route and Transfer Point will be used from 10 am until 5 pm. CTA will provide transportation between alternate transfer points. Route 34 will transfer on Irish Hill at Biloxi Upper Elementary and under the I-110 overpass on Diaz Street near IP Casino. The Casino Hopper will not run services to the Hard Rock or Beau Rivage during this time.
Gulfport – Due to Gulfport’s Mardi Gras – Night Parade an Alternate Transfer Point will be used from 4:10 pm to the End of the Route. The Alternate Transfer Point is located at 22nd Street & 22nd Avenue.
CTA Office will be closed on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, and will reopen on Wednesday, March 2, 2022. For detailed maps of alternate routes and transfer points.
