Subject: Alternate Bus Routes and Alternate Transfer Points for Mardi Gras parades
Friday, February 21
Ocean Springs – Due to the Ocean Springs Carnival Night Parade on Friday, February 21, an Alternate Bus Route will be used on RT 7 Ocean Springs. This alternate route will begin at 6:06pm to the end of route.
Saturday, February 22
Gulfport – Due to Mardi Gras Day Parade in downtown Gulfport, CTA will utilize an Alternate Transfer Point at 22nd Street & 22nd Avenue from 1:10pm to 5:10pm. CTA will provide transportation between Jones Park and Alternate Transfer Point during this time.
Biloxi – Due to Biloxi 2nd liners Mardi Gras Parade, an Alternate Transfer Point at the Biloxi Saenger Theatre Parking Lot will be used, In addition, Alternate Routes for all routes will be used from 11 – 1:15 p.m.
Biloxi – Due to the Mardi Gras Neptune Night Parade in downtown Biloxi, both Alternate Bus Routes and Alternate Transfer Points will be used beginning at 3:20pm until end of route. CTA will provide transportation between alternate transfer points of Biloxi Upper Elementary School north parking lot on Irish Hill Dr and under the I-110 overpass on Diaz Street near IP Casino.
Sunday, February 23
D’Iberville – Due to the D’Iberville Mardi Gras parade on Sunday, February 23 an Alternate Bus Route will be used on RT 4 D’Iberville. This alternate route will used from 12:15pm to 3:15pm. There will be no service to Auto Mall Pkwy., Rodriguez St., Lemonye Blvd., and Big Ridge Rd. during this time.
Tuesday, February 25
CTA will run a Sunday Schedule on Tuesday for the Mardi Gras Holiday.
Biloxi – Due to Biloxi’s Gulf Coast Carnival Association Mardi Gras Day Parade in the downtown area, an Alternate Route and Transfer Points will be used from 8:35am until End of Route. CTA will provide transportation between alternate transfer points of Biloxi Upper Elementary School north parking lot on Irish Hill Dr and under the I-110 overpass on Diaz Street near IP Casino.
Gulfport – Due to Gulfport’s Mardi Gras Night Parade an Alternate Transfer Point will be used from 4:10pm to End of Route. The Alternate Transfer Point is located at 22nd Street & 22nd Avenue.
