Due to forecasted adverse weather impacts from Tropical Storm/Hurricane Francine, the Harrison County Emergency Agency will be opening shelters at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 11, 2024. Coast Transit Authority (CTA) is operating its hurricane evacuation program for Harrison County. CTA will be providing transportation to shelters from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (noon). To schedule transportation to a shelter, you must call CTA at 866-206-8843 ext. 0. CTA transportation to shelters will cease at 12:00 p.m. (noon).

Additionally, CTA will cease operating regularly scheduled Fixed Route and Demand Response (ADA Paratransit or ADA Paratransit Plus) service at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Wednesday, September 11. All bus services will resume on Thursday, September 12, as weather and road conditions allow.
