Due to traffic on Highway 90 during the “Scrapin the Coast” event, June 21 through June 23, 2024, Coast Transit Authority anticipates possible delays on some CTA routes. CTA will do everything possible to run as close to the scheduled times listed in the Riders’ Guide.

To help with rider connections on Highway 90, an Express Route (temporary) will operate between the Gulfport and Biloxi Transit Centers for passengers with a nonstop route (only getting off the bus at the transit center) via the interstate (I-10) on Saturday, June 22. There is one fare per express route ride.

Friday, June 21

  • Beachcomber – Route 1 will end service at 5:50 p.m. at Edgewater Mall.

Saturday, June 22

  • Beachcomber – Route 1 will end service at 1:00 p.m. at the Biloxi and Gulfport Transit Centers. The Express Route will begin.
  • (EVENT) EXPRESS ROUTE – The Express Route will operate between the Gulfport and Biloxi Transit Centers for passengers with a nonstop route via the interstate. The Express Route will begin on an express bus at 1:00 p.m. With no stops in between, the departures at each transit center will be approximately every 45 minutes, with the final departure for the day being 7:45 p.m. (to arrive at approximately 8:23 p.m.).

The Beachcomber – Route 1 does not run on Sundays. Coast Transit Authority apologizes in advance for any inconvenience and thanks the public for their cooperation.
