Subject: Hurricane Evacuation Transportation

 

Hurricane season is upon us and Coast Transit Authority is prepared to assist Harrison County residents with evacuation transportation.  Registration for this free service is quick and easy. You can register online at coasttransit.com, fax the application to 228-896-8081 or mail the application to the CTA office. (333 Debuys Road, Gulfport, MS 39507)

This service is available for Harrison County residents, who need transportation assistance during any Emergency Management Agency mandated evacuation, and includes transportation to and from assigned Red Cross shelters. The CTA Transportation program is free; however, pre-registration is requested. Only two carry-on items per person will be allowed on the bus, either two bags or one bag and one pet carrier. CTA also needs to know as soon as possible of any special medical or other needs to those being transported.

Spanish speaking operators are available.

Plan ahead and make preparations to leave if an evacuation is called. Let CTA move you and your family out of harm’s way.
