Mardi Gras – Alternate Routes and Transfer Points
Subject: Mardi Gras – Alternate Routes and Transfer Points

 

Mardi Gras celebrations across the coast will cause some Fixed Route services to be interrupted on various dates and times. Alternate routes and transfer points will be used to keep our services rolling.

Saturday, January 16
Gulfport – Orange Grove Carnival Association – 2:00PM  Our Dedeaux Rd. section of Route 37 will be inaccessible between the hours of 1:00PM and 4:30PM. – An alternate route will be used.

Saturday, January 23
Biloxi – Biloxi Second Liners – 1:00PM  The Biloxi Transit Center will be inaccessible between the hours of 12:00PM and 3:45PM. – An alternate transfer point will be used… Howard Ave., under the I-110 overpass.

Ocean Springs – Ocean Springs Carnival Association – 1:00PM  Downtown Ocean Springs will be inaccessible between the hours of 12:00PM and 5:30PM. – An alternate route will be used.

Saturday, January 30
Biloxi – Biloxi Children’s Parade – 1:00PM  The Biloxi Transit Center will be inaccessible between the hours of 10:00AM and 11:30AM. – An alternate route will be used.

Friday, February 5
Ocean Springs – Ocean Springs Carnival Association Night Parade – 7:00PM  Downtown Ocean Springs will be inaccessible after 6:00PM. – An alternate route will be used.

Saturday, February 6
Gulfport – Krewe of Gemini – 2:00PM   The Gulfport Transit Center will be inaccessible between the hours of 1:00PM and 4:00PM. – An alternate transfer point will be used… corner of 22nd St. & 22nd Ave.

Biloxi – Krewe of Neptune – 5:30PM   The Biloxi Transit Center will be inaccessible between the hours of 4:30PM and 8:00PM. – An alternate transfer point will be used… Howard Ave., under the I-110 overpass.

Sunday, February 7
D’Iberville – North Bay Area Mardi Gras Association – 1:30PM  Between the hours of 12:00PM and 4:00PM., the D’Iberville bus will only serve the Lakeview and Promenade shopping areas.

Tuesday, February 9 – Mardi Gras Day
(All Fixed Routes will follow a Sunday time schedule)

Biloxi – Gulf Coast Carnival Association – 1:00PM  The Biloxi Transit Center will be inaccessible between the hours of 12:15PM and 5:00PM. – An alternate transfer point will be used… Diaz Ave., under the I-110 overpass… just West of IP Casino.

Gulfport – Krewe of Gemini – 5:30PM  Gulfport Transit Center will be inaccessible between 4:45PM and 6:15PM (end of service). – An alternate transfer point will be used… corner of 22nd St. & 22nd Ave.
