
Coast Transit Authority (CTA) will have alternate bus routes and transfer points during some Mardi Gras Parades (see list). Coast Transit Authority will observe Mardi Gras on Tuesday, February 17th, 2026. All fixed route bus services will operate on a Sunday time schedule on Tuesday, February 17th. Normal bus service will resume on Wednesday, February 18th. The CTA office will be closed on Tuesday, February 17th, and will reopen on Wednesday, February 18, at 8:00 a.m.
SATURDAY, JANUARY 31
Ocean Springs – Due to the Ocean Springs Elks Lodge Parade and Ocean Springs Krewe Unique Parade on Saturday, January 31, an Alternate Bus Route will be used on Route 7-Ocean Springs. This alternate route will run from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 7
Biloxi – Due to the Biloxi Children’s Walking Parade in downtown Biloxi on Saturday, February 7, Alternate Bus Routes will be used from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. (noon) for Beachcomber, Casino Hopper, Route 7- Ocean Springs, and Route 34-Biloxi-Gulfport Pass Road.
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 13
Ocean Springs – Due to the Ocean Springs Carnival Association Night Parade on Friday, February 13, an Alternate Bus Route will be used on Route 7-Ocean Springs. This alternate route will begin at 4:30 p.m. and continue to the end of the route.
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 14
Gulfport – Due to Krewe of Gemini – Carnival Day Parade in downtown Gulfport, CTA will utilize an Alternate Transfer Point at 22nd Street & 22nd Avenue from 12:45 p.m. to 5:10 p.m. on Saturday, February 14th. CTA will provide a bus to transfer passengers from the Gulfport Transit Center to the Alternate Transfer Point.
Biloxi – Due to the Krewe of Neptune – Night Parade in downtown Biloxi on Saturday, February 14th, an Alternate Route and Transfer Point will be used from 3:20 p.m. until the end of the route. An Alternate Transfer Point will be used for the Casino Hopper, Route 4-D’Iberville, Route 34-Pass Road, Beachcomber, and Route 7-Ocean Springs. CTA will provide transportation between alternate transfer points. The Alternate Transfer Point is located on Diaz Avenue, under the I-110 overpass, just west of the IP Casino Resort Spa. There will be a bus for Route 34 from the Biloxi Upper Elementary School parking on Irish Hill Drive to bring riders to the alternate transfer point on Diaz Street. The Casino Hopper will not have transportation service to the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi or Beau Rivage Resort & Casino during this time.
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 15
Gulfport – Due to Gulfport’s Second Street Social Club Parade on Sunday, March 2, Alternate Routes for Route 34 and Route 37 will be used from 11:24 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
D’Iberville and St. Martin – Due to the D’Iberville and St. Martin North Bay Mardi Gras Parade on Sunday, February 15, an Alternate Bus Route will be used on Route 4-D’Iberville. This alternate route will used from 10:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. There will be no service to Auto Mall Pkwy., Rodriguez St., Lemoyne Blvd., and Big Ridge Rd. during this time. Due to reroute, Scarlett Pearl Casino Resort stop will be inaccessible during this timeframe.
TUESDAY, February 17 – CTA will run a Sunday Schedule on Tuesday, February 17, for the Mardi Gras Holiday.
