Mike Reso CTA’s New Executive Director, 2026
Coast Transit Authority (CTA) announces the appointment of Mike Reso as Executive Director, effective February 9, 2026. Mr. Reso brings eight years of senior municipal leadership experience, including service as Chief Administrative Officer for Bay St. Louis and, prior to that, four and a half years as City Manager for Diamondhead. Throughout his tenure in local government, he has overseen municipal operations, strategic planning initiatives, infrastructure coordination, budgeting, and intergovernmental relations, with a focus on organizational accountability and service delivery to residents.
A Mississippi Gulf Coast resident since 1995 and Diamondhead resident since 2006, Mr. Reso is a graduate of Loyola University New Orleans. His longstanding ties to the region and executive-level public sector experience position him to lead CTA’s continued operational and strategic advancement.
“I am honored to join Coast Transit Authority as Executive Director,” said Reso. “I look forward to working closely with our staff, Board of Commissioners, and community partners to continue strengthening the essential transportation services that connect residents across the Mississippi Gulf Coast.”
