Press Release:  CTA introduces new Popps Ferry route at upcoming Coffee Talk

Gulfport, MS:  Coast Transit Authority will join Biloxi City Councilman Kenny Glavan at his monthly Coffee Talk on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 9:00am at the Santa Maria del Mar to introduce the new bus service on Popps Ferry Road. Immediately following, CTA will hold a press conference at 9:45am to introduce Route 32 serving the Popps Ferry corridor to the general public.  Santa Maria del Mar is located at 1788 Medical Park Drive.

At 10:00am the public is invited to board the bus at the Santa Maria del Mar for the inaugural run on the new Popps Ferry Road route. This 45-minute route will leave from the Santa Maria del Mar to make a complete loop and will return to the Santa Maria del Mar at 10:53am. Riders will make several convenient stops along the way to such as, Cedar Lake Medical Center, Bellemont Gardens Apartments, Virginia College, Neighborhood WalMart Marketplace, and Margaret Sherry Library.

This addition will mark the next major phase of expanded public transit service throughout Biloxi. The route will run 6-days a week from the Winn Dixie on Pass Road to Bellemont Gardens Apartments on Motsie Road. Riders will have the opportunity to transfer to the Pass Road –  Route 34 bus at the Pass Road Winn Dixie stop.
