“Fare Free” Beach Trolley Runs Daily Beginning This Friday

Gulfport, MS – May 22, 2017 – Coast Transit Authority and Silver Slipper Casino Hotel announce new, expanded hours for the Beach Trolley that runs along the Hancock County coastline.  Beginning Friday, May 26, the Beach Trolley will run daily from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.  The trolley will follow its traditional 60-minute loop route from the casino down the beach to Bay St. Louis, through Old Town and then back to Silver Slipper, with many stops along the way including Buccaneer State Park.  In addition to the defined pick up and drop off locations, the trolley also operates on the ‘hail’ system that allows riders to flag down the Beach Trolley to board or exit safely at any point along the route. The trolley will leave the casino at the top of every hour with the last run leaving at 6:00 p.m. and returning to the casino at 6:46 p.m.

“Since our partnership with Coast Transit Authority began, we’ve had many of our patrons tell us how much they enjoy riding the Beach Trolley.” said John Ferrucci, the General Manager of Silver Slipper Casino Hotel.  “Summertime is really when a majority of our visitors utilize the Beach Trolley, so it was an easy decision to have the Beach Trolley running 7 days a week beginning with Memorial Day weekend. We are happy to be able to provide this service to our patrons and visitors in the area.”

The best part about the Beach Trolley is that it is fare free!  So, whether you are looking to leave Old Town Bay St. Louis and get in on a little gaming action, or if you are staying for a few days at Silver Slipper and want to experience other parts of beautiful Hancock County, the Silver Slipper and Coast Transit Authority have you covered with the Beach Trolley.
