Subject: New “Fare Free” Beach Trolley Starts This Thursday!

Coast Transit Authority would like to thank the Silver Slipper Hotel & Casino for sponsoring a new trolley service in their community.  The “Beach Trolley” will start rolling this Thursday, May 26, 2016… just in time for the summer season.

Trolley service will run on a continuous 60-minute loop Monday through Saturday, from 11am til 10pm and on Sundays from 11am til 5pm. The route leaves Silver Slipper Casino at the top of each hour and strolls down the Hancock County coastline. Riders will enjoy stops along the way… including Coleman Avenue in Waveland, the Bay Harbor, Old Town Bay St. Louis, the Depot District and Buccaneer State Park.  And, the best part… it’s Fare Free!  “We are very excited to partner with Silver Slipper Casino to provide transit service to the Bay-Waveland beach area, “said Kevin Coggin, CTA Executive Director.

The Beach Trolley will also operate on the ‘hail’ system that allows riders to flag down a trolley and board at any time… or, exit at any traffic safe area on the route.
