In observance of Veterans Day, Coast Transit Authority (CTA) will honor all veterans by offering FREE unlimited rides for veterans throughout the day on Saturday, November 11, 2023. Veterans who ride CTA buses that day are welcome to submit photos to CTA through Facebook to be shared with the public. Additionally on Saturday, November 11, during the D’Iberville Veterans Day Parade, there will be an alternate public transit route between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. (see the CTA website for alternate route maps).
To ride free on CTA buses on Veterans Day, veterans may board any CTA Fixed Route bus and mention that they have served in any branch of the United States Armed Forces. Veterans who have not tried transit before are encouraged to ride, and those who know a veteran are welcome to invite a veteran to ride.
