The Coast Transit Authority (CTA) fare free CTA Tram Trolley service will start on Sunday, March 17, 2024. The CTA Tram Trolley will cross the CTA Tram Bridge seasonally (through Labor Day), during the operating hours of the Mississippi Aquarium (10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). The CTA Tram Trolley will operate every 15 minutes with four stops between the Gulfport Transit Hub and Jones Park.

“CTA is pleased to provide this nostalgic trolley new mobility option connecting the CTA Bus Hub and Mississippi Aquarium across the Tram Bridge into Jones Park. It is fare free, has A/C, and runs every fifteen minutes. You can jump on, jump off, and enjoy the park and harbor areas,” said Kevin Coggin, CTA Executive Director.

To utilize the CTA Tram Trolley, park in the CTA Parking Garage (1417 20th Avenue, Gulfport, MS) or ride any CTA fixed route bus to the CTA Gulfport Transit Center. Then catch the CTA Tram Trolley for a safe, ADA accessible, and convenient ride to Jones Park across Highway 90 on the CTA Tram Bridge. This propane-fueled, low emission trolley will shuttle back and forth across Highway 90. It will be fare free, which offers quick hop-on hop-off service.
